Thermal Energy: source? Heat: spontaneous flow of energy (in transit) caused by T differences; thus, an object cannot possess "heat”. Thermal energy: gives rise to gravitational energy which leads to various geological forces (pressure, gravity, hydraulic head, …). Gravity: drives almost everything, but heat sources are the ultimate culprits.

mechanical, electrical, magnetic, seismic properties, ….
