Connessione VSIX TOP‐IX (2) Richiesta attivazione: Se un consorziato (TOP‐IX) vuole partecipare al peering internap dovrà inviare una mail all’indirizzo networking@top‐ix.org (CC a

Nella email inviata al VSIX inoltre va allegato il modulo di partecipazione opportunamente compilato ( http://www.vsix.it/VSIX/VSIX_completo/pdf/AdesioneSperimentazioneVSIX‐TOPIX.pdf) Se un affiliato (VSIX) vuole partecipare al peering internap dovrà inviare solo una mail all’indirizzo a
[email protected] (CC a networking@top‐ix.org ) Procedura di attivazione: Quando un membro di TOP‐IX farà richiesta di attivazione di un peering con VSIX: verrà inoltrata la Vlan di peering pubblico di VSIX sulla porta del richiedente in cui gli verrà assegnato un nuovo indirizzo IP (di VSIX) col quale potrà fare peering con tutti i membri di VSIX indirizzo IP (di VSIX) col quale potrà fare peering con tutti i membri di VSIX. Servizio Root Server I root nameserver sono i server responsabili per quanto riguarda il dominio “.” ; possiedono infatti l'elenco dei server responsabili per ognuno dei domini di primo livello riconosciuti (Es. .it, .net, .com ), e lo forniscono in risposta a ciascuna richiesta. Al momento tutte le query al sistema DNS su Internet richiedono l'esistenza dei root nameserver, per cui essi costituiscono un elemento critico dell'infrastruttura. Attualmente le sessioni dei root server sono 13 contrassegnate con delle lettere dalla A alla M. I server C, F, I, J, K ed M corrispondono ciascuno a diversi computer fisici, situati in diversi continenti e in g grado di fornire un servizio decentralizzato mediante annunci anycast. y TOP‐IX, in partnership con Internet Systems Consortium e Verisign, ha reso disponibile presso la propria infrastruttura le sessioni F e J con l’obiettivo di: 9 Renderli più vicini ai Consorziati riducendo i tempi di risposta dei DNS e aumentando le performance. 9 Creare un ulteriore elemento di Ridondanza di una delle infrastrutture critiche di Internet.
